I expected Yellowstone to be fantastic, but I underestimated it by far. …our guide, Ana, …has to be the best. So good was she that we pulled up to Old Faithful, walked over, and it immediately blew, as if it had been waiting on us. We saw all manner of wildlife - Elk, Mule Deer, Bison, Coyotes, Pronghorns, nesting Osprey chicks, and I'm sure I'm leaving some out. And we had great encounters with all four geothermal features of the park - geysers, hot springs, steam vents, and mud volcanoes. The yellow-walled canyon, which gives the park its name, was something I had never heard of, yet was one of the most spectacular sights of all. Not to say that the day was not without its danger. At lunch… fine dining (courtesy of the Four Seasons) on checkered table cloths, the whole nine yards, we encountered a bear with a voice that sounded amazingly like Ana. Fortunately, after warning us about forest fires and feeding the wildlife, it left. And during one of our hikes, our group was assailed by a wild Indian claiming to be Sacajawea. We were able to manage our escape, but not before she was able to steal a kiss from me. But the perils were worth the risk, and not all surprises bad. Dick and Mary, while in the middle of Yellowstone, received a singing telegram, telling them how much (our company) appreciated their work for us. And a stop for champagne on the shores of Lake Yellowstone was a welcome touch.

For our Jackson Hole vacation, we essentially wanted a fun and enriching experience for our 8 person group - 4 adults traveling with 2 young kids, 2 toddlers & 2 strollers (yikes!). Ana was perfect. Tours were customized for kids, without sacrificing the adults - perfectly balanced, including samples, reference books, well-timed stops, picture services, snacks, picnic setting, gifts, etc. We did not have to worry about details and she made the best use of our limited time (and attention span). All with a smile. Could not have asked for a better experience. The children even received gifts.

You were a bright and memorable spot in our trip... We loved the day we spent with you in Yellowstone... Thank you for the great photos. I have never seen 12 hours go by so fast, and it was so much fun, with a delightful surprise around every corner. Believe it or not, a great deal of what you taught us about the Yellowstone and Tetons parks actually stuck with the 5 of us. It gave us a good basic foundation of knowledge of the area for the rest of our trip. Your ears must have been burning as we told everyone we met this week how much fun we had with you, and what an excellent guide you are.
